ITS THE HEART WHICH  CONTROL US NOT THE BRAIN

It was a Sports Stadium.

Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running
event.

* Ready! * Steady! * Bang !!!

With the sound of Toy pistol,

All eight girls started running.

Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps,

when one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down,

Due to bruises and pain she started crying.

When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped
running, stood for a while and turned back.

Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.

One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently

And enquired as to how she was..

They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.

Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and
walked together towards the winning post........ ..

There was pin drop silence at the spectator's stand.

Officials were shocked.

Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in
appreciation.

Many eyes were filled with tears

And perhaps even God's!

YES.!! This happened in Hyderabad [INDIA], recently!

The sport was conducted by
National Institute of Mental Health.

All these special girls had come to participate in this event

They were spastic children.

Yes, they were Mentally Challenged.

What did they teach the WORLD.?

Teamwork.?

Humanity?

Equality among all.??

Successful people help others who are
slow in learning

So that they are not left far behind.

This is really a great message... Spread it.!

We never do this because we have brains !!!!

SUCCESS OF MARRIAGE

Once upon a time a married couple celebrated their 25th marriage anniversary. They had become famous in the city for not having a single conflict in their period of 25 years. Local newspaper editors had gathered at the occasion to find out the secret of their well known 'happy going marriage'.
Editor: "Sir. It's amazingly unbelievable. How did you make this possible?"
Husband recalling his old honeymoon days said:  "We had been to Simla for honeymoon after marriage. Having selected the horse riding finally, we both started the ride on different horses. My horse was pretty okay but the horse on which my wife was riding seemed to be a crazy one.
On the way ahead, that horse jumped suddenly, making my wife topple over..
Recovering her position from the ground, she patted the horse's back and said "This is your first time". She again climbed the horse and continued with the ride. After a while, it happened again. This time she again kept calm and said "This is your second time" and continued. When the horse dropped her third time, she silently took out the revolver from the purse and shot the horse dead!!
I shouted at my wife: "What did you do you psycho. You killed the poor animal. Are you crazy?"
She gave a silent look and said: "This is your first time!!!"
Husband: "That's it. We’ve been living

WHATS THAT??? A SPARROW

A quiet sunny morning with breeze gently blowing across the lawn …. Where Andrew was sitting along side his 74 year old father Samuel in bench that was placed at his house garden…..Andrew was busy going through his newspaper while his elderly father sat beside him enjoying the beauty around him …..

Samuel was a lean old man who was in army and got retired from his services 15 years back… since then it’s been Andrew who is taking care of his father… Sam was bald and had a small beard running across his chin, his grey hair showed the wisdom that he has gained over the years of his experience in his life… but over the past years his health condition was degrading, he has already gone through a heart attack and he had knee surgery a month ago so he had to dependent upon his walking stick to move around his home….

Andrew was so much into today’s newspaper, because its was the day when the results of the elections were about be announced…Sam sat quietly besides his son, suddenly something caught the attention of the silent Sam….. it was the chirping sound of a sparrow at a near by bush…. Sam smiled on seeing those sparrows and turned towards his son and asked “WHATS THAT?”…. Andrew still glued to his newspaper looked with a sense of disinterest and replied. .. ”A SPARROW FATHER” sam shook his head in agreement to his sons reply…

Andrew turned to the sports column of his newspaper.. When a sparrow just hopped on in front off Sam… Sam called his son with his fingers … Andrew turned to his father... “WHATS THAT?” Sam enquired…. Andrew replied with a severe look on his father, clearly showing that he did not want to be disturbed while reading newspaper….he replied “IT’S A SPARROW FATHER GOT IT”…Sam shook his head in agreement…

Now Andrew had reached the final article of the newspaper, when another sparrow which was drinking stagnated water in the garden was caught by the eyes of Sam… Sam reluctantly poked at his son with his fingers and asked” WHATS THAT?”

This time Andrew had lost his cool; he threw the newspaper and said in loud voice to his father

“IT’S A DAMN SPARROW, HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU WANT TO REPEAT IT, and CANT YOU GET IT…. S-P-A-R-R-O-W, DON’T ASK ME AGAIN…”

Andrew said it so loud that sparrows which were having good time in the garden flew away due to his noise….Sam looked into his son’s eyes and there was silence for a moment… slowly Sam picked his walking stick and started to walk towards his home…

Andrew felt guilty of behaving in such a way towards his father, he enquired”WHERE ARE YOU GOING?”, but he never got a reply…. Andrew decided not to bother much and picked up his paper and started going through it again…. After half an hour Sam came with a small pocket sized diary in his hand and sat besides his son… Andrew was still sitting with his newspaper trying to solve the puzzle given in the newspaper… Sam gave his diary open to his son and asked him to read…. Andrew with guilt inside on behaving such a way to his father didn’t have the courage to look into his fathers eyes directly… so he ignored his dad and and started looking into his diary… when Andrew was going through what was written in the diary Sam stopped him and asked him to read loud …and so Andrew read loud the following….

“TODAY I AND MY 6 YEAR OLD BOY WAS PLAYAING IN MY HOUSE GARDEN, WHEN A SMALL SPARROW CAME IN FRONT OF US…

MY BOY WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THAT...HE ASKED ME 21 TIMES “WHAT ITS?”

I NEVER GOT TIRED IN ANSWERING IT AS SPARROW FOR ALL THE 21 TIMES, AND EACH TIME I ANSWERED HIM, I GAVE A HUG TO HIM, HE FELT SO HAPPY… IT WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE”

Andrew felt cold on his right cheeks after reading this … because tears were following through his eyes... Andrew threw his newspaper and hugged his dad and kissed him on his forehead …Sam wiped his son’s tears and both hugged each other…and made their way back to home….

"NO ONE IS ALONE HERE"

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and
set about nailing it to a post on the edge of
his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the
post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked
down into the eyes of a little boy.

"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your
puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat
off the back of his neck, "These puppies come
from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then
reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a
handful of change and held it up to the farmer.

"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take
a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out
a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran
Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain
link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the
dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy
noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably
smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat
awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward
the others, doing its best to catch up...

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the
runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said,
"Son, you don't want that puppy.. He will never be able
to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence,
reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his
trousers.

In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down
both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made
shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir,
I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone
who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and
picked up the little pup.
Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy.. "No charge,"
answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

Neha who just finished her B.E.D degree was so happy that she got selected for the teachers post in a school that was near by her house… she was about to handle for the 3rd and the 4th grade students…the very next day was her first day as a teacher so she got up early had a traditional bath, wore her lucky saree, touched the feet of her grandpa and sought blessings from him and off she went to her school carrying a smile which was as bright as that of a 1000watts bulb….

The day drew to an end Nehas mother found that something was wrong with her because she had not come out of her room since she came from her school, so she slowly walked towards her room to check on her without getting noticed … Nehas mother slowly peeped through the key hole of her room… she saw an exhausted Neha who had knelt down by her bed. She couldn’t sleep and hence decided to share her burden with god...

“DEAR GOD” she sighed dejectedly,” my pupils think I am a see of knowledge. They asked me so many questions today, some of which were really tough. So please god, while I sleep, can you somehow put the answers to these questions into my mind-here are some questions for you...

1. Why doesn’t gum stick to the inside of its bottle?

2. Why are cigarettes sold in petrol station when smoking is prohibited there?

3. If you were in a vehicle moving at the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the head lights?

4. Who draws lines around countries?

5. What do you plant to grow a seedless watermelon?

6. How does god know that he is god? Who had told him?

7. Why does container carrying petrol always indicate that it is highly inflammable, when petrol is flammable in nature?

Nehas mother scratched her head in trying to get answers for any of these questions but all in vain... and needless to say that even god would not have slept that night in thinking over these questions...

PURITY OF LOVE AT ITS BEST...

It was a rainy Saturday evening when siddarth popularly know as Sid punched at his cell phone to call his girl friend Nisha for a movie... Nisha was reluctant initially but then Sid convinced her that he would leave her at home on time... Nisha agreed to Sid... They were madly in love for each other…. It seemed as if they were made for each other …

So the couples started moving towards the theatre in bike... Nisha was enjoying the rain that was drizzling from above... Sid had earlier asked Nisha to wear a white chudi for the occasion as it was his favorite color….both were sharing jokes as they made their way…. there was love all around them … Nisha was unable to bear the coldness of the rain.. So she hugged Sid tightly… Sid soon realized that Nisha was in need of warmth ness … so he removed his jacket and gave to Nisha to make her feel better … it indeed made Nisha feel lot better…. Sid drove his bike faster than before… Nisha hugged him even tighter… both were having loads of fun as they were traveling…. Nisha asked Sid to drive even faster .knowing that nisha was loving this experience … Sid drove his bike at the top gear… suddenly Sid removed his helmet and asked nisha to wear it… nisha puzzled and asks “why dear”.. Sid replied “I want to get the feel of breeze gushing through my hair sweet heart, so you hold it for me” … Nisha was holding the helmet in her hand while Sid was driving... Sid compelled her to wear the helmet to which nisha agreed blissfully…

The cloud above them were getting even more darker and rain started pouring heavily on them …roads were getting slipperier and dangerous for fast driving… slowly fear started creeping on to Nisha… she told “enough dear, slow down I am getting scared” Sid had a hearty laugh and said “don’t worry baby I am there for you nothing will happen” this eased the pressure of Nisha, she soon fell into arms of Sid again …

Sid asked “do you love me Nisha?”… Nisha replied “of course I love you more than my parents dear”... now it was nisha’s turn she asked Sid “how much do you love me sid? “... Even before she could get a reply… tragedy struck them... The speeding bike had met an accident with a truck that was coming on its way… Sid was instantly thrown off the bike... his head crashed on to the concrete road making a crackling sound …that sound said it all … his skull had been fractured .. And Sid was dying soon … mean while Nisha who landed on the other side of the road was not that seriously hurt… her hands were badly bruised... She ran towards Sid and took his head and kept on her lap… her white chudi soon turned to red… she tried to stop the blood flow with her shawl but soon that too turned red… Nisha was terrified with tears rolling down cheek … Sid smiled at Nisha and replied
“I LOVE YOU MORE THAN MY LIFE MY DEAR” and breathed his last gasp of air… nisha was in a state of shock and petrified.. She cried her soul out for help... But it was too late then…Sid was no more …

Days passed after the tragedy... reports from police confirmed that Accident was due to brake failure in the bike… on hearing this Nisha realized the truth ness in Sid’s words …
The truth was Sid knew that there was a brake failure in his bike... when he knew nothing can be done he slowly removed his helmet and gave to Nisha and compelled her to wear it… only to save her life from the tragedy that was about happen …Nisha on realizing it cried and cried in the memories of her love which she had lost for ever …

"AGONY OF THE STUPID COMMON MAN"

“AGONY OF THE STUPID COMMAN MAN “

‘Absence of war is not peace’- said a philosopher statesman. Religious intolerance, racial discrimination, economic marginalization, political conflict, social inequality, cultural degradation and ecological imbalance could also be some major threats to peace.

A determined humanity will have to meet these challenges unitedly and religion can help bring about that unity of purpose provided it is properly understood and practiced.

The strength of India has always been her spirituality and the concept of oneness, India’s commitment to peace has always been total. There has not been a single instant in her history when she waged war on others.

NOV 26TH 2008- IMPACT OF TERRORISM IN INDIA

On the eve of that doomed day of 26th November 2008, India realized the impact of terrorism. This time the ravishing city of Mumbai was the chosen one for this incident to take place.

Let us relive the last moments of one jawan.

Police inspector “SHASHANT SHINDE”had been on night shift for three days on 26th Nov; although his shift was over he came in the evening to work as he was not sure whether his duty officer had come in .once he met his substitute he called his wife and told he was leaving for home. That would be the last conversation with her.
SHINDE died that night while combating two terrorist who had opened fire at “CHATRAPATHI SIVAJI” terminus .he would be the first senior officer among four who lost their lives when Mumbai was attacked by small band of terrorists. This was just one officers story there were nearly 250 innocent peoples who had stories and plans of their own which was cut short due some terrorists to practice their own ideologies. This is well explained by the proverb
“MAN PROPOSES GOD DISPOSES”.

MEDIA TURNING IN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

The coverage of the terror attacks showed that the media has purely become a business enterprise; news has become a commodity in serving the interest of the few. It ceases to be the “POTECTOR OF PUBLIC INTEREST”.

On Nov 22, 1963 some 38 minutes past 2pm Eastern Standard Time WALTER CRONKITE of the cbs takes off his glasses while announcing the assassination of president JOHN.F.KENNEDY. He puts on the glasses slowly, and takes about seven seconds to read the next sentence in a voice struggling to gain composure. Those few seconds of time which are an eternity for live television journalism?

Reams of pages could not have evoked the same pathos as those reactions. Contrast to these with plasticity and obscenity that characterized sixty hours of visual media coverage of terror in Mumbai especially in English.

The moral superiority of the media to the political class and the stat is the the biggest myth in any capitalist democracy. The recent politician –bashing undertaken by the media hides the deep need of both for one another. Such a synergy could not be better illustrated than by the media celebrity status attained by the politicians like the late pramod mahajan. The same goes for the Medias harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships with capitalist interest which include entertainment industry.

It is almost laughable that the media after sixty hours of shameless voyeurism chose to call RAM GOPAL VARMA visit to the taj as disaster management. The media’s that lack of coverage of victims at the CST railway station as compared to those at five-star hotels was because of some deliberate socio economic prejudice.

DEFINITION OF TERRORISM

The word terrorism should not be used only due to activities of certain Muslim groups. Any communal riot in the name of religion must be termed as terrorist activity irrespective of its religious outfit. Example of such terrorist activity faced by our country is the recent KHANDHAMAL VIOLENCE in Orrisa where a particular section of religion was attacked. The recent attacks on GAZA are also the examples of religion being misused.

Three commandments for stopping terrorism are

1. No individual should be forced to change his religion
2. Every religion should be given equal importance.
3. Strict actions against any terrorist outfit should be taken irrespective of its outfit.

Social awareness to common man should be taught so every individual is equipped to face terrorism.

CONCLUSION

Let me close with the great saint Swami Vivekananda said “if there be righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in the character, if there be beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home, if there is harmony in home there will be order in the nation, if there be order in nation there will be peace in the world”.

India is a country where religious freedom is given to all. There are some countries within and outside India to break this bondage. Our youngsters should have the awareness to fight against this politically and socially to make our country peaceful nation.
I strictly say that we youngsters should be “men of action” for fourth generation to survive peacefully.

"THIS IS LIFE"

When there is no friend,
When life is on the dead end,
When world is not a paradise,
When your confidence dies,
Tell yourself - Go on, THIS IS LIFE!

When things don't go right,
When there is no ray of light,
And its too hard to survive,
Tell yourself - Go on, THIS IS LIFE!

When there is competition to face,
When you are lagging behind in the race,
When you've lost faith in God,
When you're betrayed by a fraud,
Tell yourself - Go on, THIS IS LIFE!

When others don't respect you,
When you're not amongst the admirable few,
When for a question, you can't find a solution,
When all you're sure about, is confusion,
Tell yourself - Go on, THIS IS LIFE!

When your destination is miles apart,
When you don't know where to start,
When all you see around is pain,
When your hard work is in vain,
Tell yourself - Go on, THIS IS LIFE!

Even though all this happens
just have faith in self & face the life
with smile,
things will surely change one day
because as said "THIS IS LIFE ...

"THIS TOUCHED MY SOUL"

"THIS HAPPENED TO ME"

I was walking around in a Big Bazar store making shopping,
when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.
Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''Aunty, are you sure
I don't have enough money?''

I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy
the dolll, my dear...'' The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally,
I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.
'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much .
Iwanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY. I have to give the doll to my mommy so
that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'
His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God.
Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so
I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.
'' My heart nearly stopped.. The little boy looked up at me and
aid: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until
I come back from the mall.'
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing.
He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister
won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me,
but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.
' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again,
just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'' 'OK' he said,
I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and
we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money..
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!
' Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before
I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll,
so that mommy could give It to my sister.. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have
enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask
God for too much.. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.
My mommy loves white roses.'

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started..
I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.. Then I remembered a local news
paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who
hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away,
and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether
to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would
not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that
the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch
of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young
woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the
photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.
The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still,
to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second,
a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

PLEASE DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.

"FATHER AND MOTHER I LOVE YOU"

I LOVE MY PARENTS

Shashi and her husband were the proud parents of two young boys. They lived in Mumbai. In the normal course of growing up and pursuing their higher education, both the boys went abroad.

The older one, one day told his parents, “Mom and Dad, I have something to share with you. I met a girl while I was in the United States and wish to marry her.” The parents were pleased but apprehensive. “Who is she? What does she do?” asked Shashi anxiously. The son chose his words carefully, “Mom, she is a white girl!” Now, that was something, they did not expect. They were an orthodox Hindu family. But, the son was very sure that he wanted to marry, the girl.

Well! They got married and lived in the United States. Many years later, Shashi was told by a friend, “Shashi, I met your daughter-in-law recently, at a party. She told me a strange thing. She said that your son, although, madly in love with her, had laid a condition before he had married her.” “Oh! What was it?” asked Shashi in surprise. “He had said to his fiancĂ©, “I have a condition. You have to promise me that you shall not question or object to anything that I may wish to do for my parents or any expenditure that I may ever wish to make for them. I have a strong relationship with them and the very fact that I love you does not mean that I do not love them!”

What a revelation! Shashi and her husband were both lawyers. They were earning well enough to have a very comfortable life. But, those words that her son had said touched her heart.

Many of the senior members of our society may not be financially independent. They may have to extend a palm in front of their children for their daily needs and expenses. Young men and women! Whether or not your parents are in need of financial help, make it a point to give them something out of what you earn. They shall bless you for it!

Incidentally, last year, we had gone to Singapore for a vacation. During one of our sightseeing tours, we had an elderly tourist guide, called Kim. She was an absolute tomboy full of vim and vigour. She said to all the children in the coach, including ours. “Children, your parents have brought you to Singapore, for a holiday. Are you having fun?” “Yes,” Chorused the fifteen odd children in the coach. “Good, now all of you promise me, that when you are all grown up and your parents are old, you shall bring them for a holiday to Singapore!”

What a beautiful thought!

Our parents give us their best, to the best of their ability. In turn, it is our duty to give them our best, to the best of our ability. Yes, FAMILY means, Father And Mother I Love You!
